Seminars, Workshops, Clinics
Spirit of Golf offers a variety of seminars, workshops and clinics throughout the country and soon internationally which share innovative and leading-edge mind/body practices, skills and techniques. We are recognized as a leader in the relatively new field of Conscious Athletics, and the feedback we continue to receive on each of our events is nothing short of phenomenal. For a detailed description of Spirit of Golf events, including suggested costs, click here. Under the guidance and direction of Tim N. Kremer, M.A., president and founder of Spirit of Golf, you’ll learn innovative mind/body skills and techniques for quieting and refocusing the mind to increase performance and success. You will also:
- discover how your inner world and the energies of thought, emotion, and belief precede the “shots” you take – both on the golf course and in the course of Life
- become more aware of the subtle and incredible influence of language and self-talk
- be introduced to breathing, imagination, and focusing techniques that will help you quiet the mind of its excessive and unproductive chatter
- learn to experience and access a calm, confident state and peace of mind that you can take with you onto the golf course and everywhere you go
Seminars offer an introductory approach to what we teach through Spirit of Golf and are generally offered to larger groups in an instructional, lecture-style format. Broad in nature yet highly practical and beneficial, these 1 ½ – 2 hour events offer a more introductory approach to our theory and practice than participants would receive from our more intensive workshops and clinics. Less time is also available for questions and answers and individual attention than would be offered from our half-and full-day events. As with workshops (and unlike clinics), seminars are intentionally designed to teach Spirit of Golf practices in a “neutral” setting away from the golf course, with the expectation that participants will have new skills to immediately assimilate as they return to the golf course for practice or play.
As with seminars, Spirit of Golf workshops are conducted in a classroom format away from the golf course, offering a highly effective environment that is conducive to learning powerfully transformational mind/body practices, skills and techniques. Workshops provide more intensive skill development and a higher level of individual attention compared to our seminars. We look at how the mind works in relation to the energies of thought, emotion, language, and belief. We show how the non-stop looping of thought and emotion manifests in the body as calmness or tension. We offer models based upon the latest scientific research in quantum physics and brain research. We teach skills that tap into the power of imagination, which is where all thought begins and from where all movement starts. Our workshops are held not just for golfers or athletes, but for those from every walk of life. Typical organizations we present to include:
- Private and public golf clubs
- Men’s, women’s and youth golf associations
- University and college golf teams and athletic departments
- Businesses and corporations
- Charitable and not-for-profit organizations
- Trade shows and chambers of commmece
Workshops are available as partial- or full-day events and can be hosted by organizations to the general public as fundraising events. We highly tailor any workshop to reflect the specific needs of client organizations, and time is made available during each seminar for questions and answers.
Clinics incorporate Spirit of Golf principles with range time and on-course play; combining mind/body skills with swing mechanics and fundamentals in a fun, simple, straightforward way. Understanding and practicing the mental and emotional aspects of the game are an integral part of each clinic, which are conducted at private and public golf clubs throughout the country. The on-range and on-course experiences involve practice and application of the concepts presented by Spirit of Golf. Clinics begin and end each day with exercises and techniques to help participants experience deeper, more profound levels of calmness, imagination and focus. From the classroom we move to the golf course to begin hitting shots and playing; utilizing newly developed skills that allow our minds and bodies to be in greater harmony and flow with the mechanics of the swing.
